Admitted to practice law in both Florida and Venezuela, he brings substantial experience in commercial transactions, business litigation, arbitration, mediation, corporate governance, intellectual property protection, licensing transactions, and regulatory compliance.

Pedro represents clients throughout Central and South Florida and regularly advises companies with operations, investments, and commercial interests connected to Florida, Latin America, and Europe. His experience across different legal systems, business cultures, and commercial environments allows him to provide practical, strategic, and business-focused guidance in both domestic and international matters.

As a litigator, independent mediator, and international arbitrator, Pedro has participated in commercial and investment-related mediations and arbitrations and has assisted clients in preventing, managing, and resolving complex business disputes before Florida state and federal courts and arbitral tribunals. His practice includes disputes involving contractual rights, business relationships, intellectual property assets, licensing arrangements, and other commercial controversies.

His experience covers the different stages of a company’s life cycle, including business formation and corporate structuring, contract negotiation, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business litigation, arbitration, mediation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

Pedro has also advised clients in matters involving trademarks, copyrights, brand protection, anti-counterfeiting strategies, licensing arrangements, publishing and distribution relationships, intellectual property enforcement, contract negotiation, and disputes involving valuable intellectual property and commercial assets. His experience includes coordinating and managing intellectual property matters and enforcement strategies in multiple jurisdictions, including Florida and several countries in Latin America, such as Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Argentina.

Before founding JEDCA Law, P.A., Pedro practiced with well-recognized law firms in Venezuela, where he advised and represented primarily U.S. and European multinational companies, as well as Latin American companies, in matters involving commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation, arbitration, and regulatory compliance, including matters related to U.S. anti-corruption laws. He later developed an independent practice in Florida and California as a mediator and consultant in international litigation and arbitration, working with law firms and clients on the management of complex cross-border disputes.

His experience extends to a range of industries, including technology, construction, energy, entertainment, and food and beverage. He has also worked on internal investigations and compliance programs involving the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the U.K. Bribery Act, and France’s Sapin II law.

In addition to his legal practice, Pedro is actively involved in academic and professional initiatives related to business formation and protection, asset protection, mediation, arbitration, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. He frequently lectures in the United States, Spain, and Latin America and has participated in research projects involving electronic evidence and digital information. His academic background includes serving as a professor of Law and Negotiation at IESA and Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), as well as Director and Editor of the Law and Society Journal at Universidad Monteávila in Venezuela.

Pedro’s professional background combines legal experience, international perspective, and business judgment, allowing him to help clients make informed decisions, manage risk, resolve disputes effectively, and move forward with confidence in pursuit of their business goals.
