Shirley is a legal professional with more than 20 years of experience, currently focused on paralegal functions at the firm. Her work centers on supporting the firm's attorneys in legal research, document drafting and review, process management and follow-up, and quality control and regulatory compliance.
Before joining JEDCA Law, Shirley developed a distinguished professional career in the international legal field. She is licensed to practice law in Venezuela and Colombia and held senior positions at an international law firm, where she served as a Partner in Caracas and a Senior Associate in Bogotá, participating in complex, high-value financial transactions and providing banking and regulatory advice.
She has also worked on cross-border matters, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management, building substantial experience in corporate and financial environments. More recently, she served as an immigration advisor.
Shirley brings to JEDCA Law a combination of international experience and technical rigor.
Legal Contributions
Shirley has contributed to academia as a Professor of Private International Law at the law schools of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) and Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV). She is also the author of The Law Applicable to International Commercial Arbitration Under Venezuelan Law.
